Rana Gill | BA, LLB | Principal Lawyer
Rana is the Founder and Principal Lawyer at Ark Law, a South Edmonton-based law firm dedicated to providing strategic and client-focused legal solutions.
With 10 years of global legal experience, Rana brings a deep understanding of legal systems and a results-oriented approach to every case.
Starting his legal career at a boutique law firm in downtown Edmonton, Rana developed a strong foundation in diverse legal areas. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 2022 and went on to establish Ark Law in 2024 to better serve his community with a personalized and approachable legal experience.
Rana believes in building lasting relationships with his clients by understanding their unique needs and guiding them through legal complexities with clarity and professionalism. Whether handling a real estate closing, drafting a business contract, or helping families with immigration matters, his goal is to make the legal process as seamless as possible.
Beyond his legal practice, Rana values community involvement and actively supports initiatives that make a positive impact. When heβs not advocating for his clients, he enjoys spending time with family and staying active.
Harpreet Aulakh | J.D, B.Mgt, B.Sc | Associate Lawyer
Harpreet Aulakh is an Associate Lawyer at Ark Law. She brings practical, steady guidance to clients facing a wide range of legal matters, including family law, civil litigation, real estate, corporate and commercial work, and wills and estates.
Her path to law was not traditional. She obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta (2014) and a Bachelor of Management from the University of Lethbridge (2020), before earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta (2023). This multidisciplinary background informs her ability to approach legal matters with both analytical focus and a strong understanding of people and relationships.
Harpreet was called to the Alberta Bar in September 2024. She began her legal career in labour law before before expanding into a broad practice. She assists clients with parenting, support, and property division, residential real estate transactions, contract review, business matters, wills, powers of attorney, and notarial services.
Harpreet understands that clients often come to her during uncertain times. She focuses on clear advice, practical solutions, and strong advocacy when needed.
She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, including the North Women Lawyersβ Forum, where she serves on the executive team. She is also a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC).
Fluent in Punjabi and grounded in strong family values, she brings a culturally aware and respectful approach to her work.
Outside of her practice, Harpreet enjoys spending time with her family, including her dogs Anubis and Creed, staying active through group fitness classes, and exploring Edmontonβs local cafΓ© and bakery scene.
